Uno dei Deejay della musica latina pi� noti di questi tempi per la sua grande peculiarit� di vedere la musica da un punto di vista diverso, offrendo un repertorio molto particolare, mettendo corpo ed anima, riesce a sintonizzarse con il pubblico trasmettendo grande sentimento, armonia e passione.

Sicuramente non lo dico Io.

Modestamente lo dice la gente, ma io non ci credo, devo ancora superare me stesso.

E' mancato una delle grandi figure della musica cubana Ricardo Abreu (Papin) che nel anno 1959 creo insieme a i tre fratelli il quarteto vocale e di percussioni "Los Papines" mancato ieri alla eta' di 75 anni, a causa di paralisi.

Ricardo iniziai la sua vita artistica da molto giovane, con il suo gruppo "Papin y sus Rumberos", con i quali si presentavano nel Cabaret di Tropicana e in altri palchi ed escenari della sfera mondiale. A seguire creo il gruppo facendo una grande comparisione nel salone del "Parisi�n" del Hotel Nacional de La Habana, in una produzione diretta da Amaury Per�z. Nel loro repertorio risale la linea della musica afrocubana, specialmente la "Rumba", seguito da un virtuosismo ed un autentico dominio delle percussioni che gli ha fatto riconoscere in tutto il mondo.
Los Papines sono stati applauditi in pi� di 50 paesi, godendo di reputazione ed un repertorio, con numerose produzioni musicali.. Recentemente, la EGREM ha prodotto un documentario che raccoglie il percorso artistico di questo gruppo, il quale e' stato presentato nella televisione cubana. El destacado m�sico Ricardo Abreu, quien en 1959 fund�, con tres de sus hermanos, el popular cuarteto vocal y de percusi�n Los Papines, falleci� ayer, a los 75 a�os de edad, de un derrame cerebral. Su cad�ver est� tendido en la Funeraria de Zapata y 2, en Plaza de la Revoluci�n.

Ricardo comenz� a trascender art�sticamente desde muy joven, con su grupo Pap�n y sus Rumberos, con el cual actuaba en el Cabaret Tropicana y otros escenarios. Posteriormente cre� el grupo con el cual debut� en el Sal�n Parisi�n (Hotel Nacional), en una producci�n dirigida por Amaury P�rez. Cultivaron un repertorio en la l�nea afrocubana, especialmente la rumba, matizado por un aut�ntico dominio de la percusi�n que le propici� reconocimiento internacional.

Los Papines han sido aplaudidos en importantes escenarios de m�s de cincuenta pa�ses y han grabado numerosos discos. Recientemente, la EGREM les produjo un documental que recoge su importante trayectoria art�stica y el cual fue proyectado por la Televisi�n Cubana.

Benvenuti!!

Prima di tutto voglio presentarmi: sono Vj Ramos, originario di Cuba , e do un caloroso saluto a tutto il Mondo latino e a chi ama la musica in generale.

Un ringraziamento particolare a Marco M. che mi ha spronato, malgrado la mia pigrizia, a fare il sito, Angelo G. Il miglior grafico del mondo, e come si dice a cuba, La tira buena e Fabrizio G.!!!

I was born in Pinar del Rio (Cuba) in 1971. I took my first steps in the music world when I was only 10, studying the piano and the violin. In the meantime, another passion grew in me: chess. It has fascinated me since I was a little boy, and as a result I won the regional competition when I was 11 years old. But destiny had other ideas for me: in 1985 I was accepted at the School for Arts Instructor of Pinar del Rio. In the first year I studied Contemporary Dance, but after the first year I changed to piano and percussion, as Id never forgotten my love for music. When I was a student, I was one of the founders of the Jazz Club which represented my school at several editions of the International Festival of Havana, leading it to a very high level in quality music. After I got my degree with excellent results, I had many opportunities to play, but, unfortunately, I was enlisted in the army. During the following 2 years we brought our music all over the island, participating in military services and musical activities, I as composer and arranger. When my military service was over, I moved to La Habana. In the first few months it was really hard, much more than Id expected because the capital of Cuba was full of great musicians. It was so hard to demonstrate my potential and ability. However, finally, I was given some good chances: I managed to play with famous bands, such as Xiomara Laugart (Yerba Buena) and Jelengue. At that point, I and some pals were ready to create our own band, Sello L.A., of which I was also the musical director. In 1996 I came to Europe for a tour, playing in France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Italy (where I now live). Since 1999, I have also worked as a Deejay in many Latin-American discos in northern Italy and in Switzerland.
